The History of Brick Days
Brick Days is a family friendly event for all ages. It was founded on the basic principal of "Nebraska Nice" where you are treated as though you are family.
Brick Days is the brain child of Daniel Schmidt (Hobbytown U.S.A) and the members for LOLUG (Lincoln & Omaha LEGO® User Group) which started in the back room of a local Hobbytown store on a late October day in 2017. 3000 people ( and almost being shut down by the Fire Marshall), we needed to go bigger. So the following year, we moved moved to a 1,500 sq ft conference room at a local hotel. After having another packed house, convinced us we were on to something here.
In 2018, we moved shop into it's current home at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs and a 10,000 sq ft space. With this added space, it introduced us to the opportunity of inviting other LEGO® groups and enthusiasts from all across the country to participate in our event.
With the increasing interest from LEGO® groups, enthusiasts, and fans from all over the region, Brick Days is on the cutting edge of LEGO® events. We are always adding new and exciting activities, vendors, and builders each and every year to ensure the exposure of the latest and greatest that the world of LEGO® has to offer.
